ABOUT ME:

 

COOKERY CLASSES:

                             

We run regular cookery classes for adults and we also run regular children’s cookery classes called ‘Mood Foods Kids’. These classes are a chance for you to learn, cook and then take home the recipes you have created. In each class the students will be making a mix of sweet and savoury treats unless otherwise stated on the event or if they are themed events. All ingredients are provided and all the recipes are created and catered towards mindful nutrition and healthy eating. There is no refined sugar, no additives, preservatives or chemicals in our cookery classes and ingredients are fresh and sourced locally where possible to help maintain a nutritionally balanced cookery class. We also like to add extra ingredients that boost your nutrient, vitamin and mineral intake.

Booking is essential for all of our classes and payment for each class secures your place. All recipes in the Mood Foods Cookery School will be posted on the site to share with others who are interested in making a wholesome and healthy meal. Healthy eating is at the forefront of our minds using alternative ingredients to promote health and wellbeing.

SPRING – The rivers are swollen with snowmelt & the sap is starting to run in the trees. All the moisture that was bound by freezing temperatures is now moving to clear winter stagnation. And for our bodies, spring is the optimal time for lightening and clearing. Accumulated heavy & dense qualities from winter must be broken down & burned up. The body’s need for the rich foods of winter shifts to a desire for light, dry, simple foods that digest easily. Stoke the digestive fires & encourage the body’s natural cleansing this time of year with the pungent, bitter & astringent tastes found in seasonal greens, bright berries, fresh ginger, turmeric & spicy soups.
